Meet Island Beach Girl Scout Troop 2486, the maste Meet Island Beach Girl Scout Troop 2486, the masterminds behind a new cookbook, featuring video recipe tutorials for guests at Bethany House. The troop also spearheaded an impactful community drive for needed supplies and grocery gift cards, with Island Park Public Library serving as the drop-off location. The grand finale was a taste-testing event at the library, featuring dishes from their cookbook. This impressive endeavor was led by 11th graders from Long Beach High School. Our guests are excited to try out some of these delicious recipes. Inspired by the resilience of the women that Betha Inspired by the resilience of the women that Bethany House moves from crisis to stability, @ashleyruchalski decided to turn her baby shower into a beautiful moment of shared abundance! Instead of just gifts for her growing family, she requested that her incredible community of family and friends brought extra packages of diapers to donate to the families starting fresh at Bethany House. It was a very meaningful way to celebrate. Every mother deserves to feel supported, and every baby deserves a comfortable, secure start. Please join us for a special event at Old Westbury Please join us for a special event at Old Westbury Gardens, the former home of the John & Margarita Phipps family, which is a beautifully preserved estate nestled amid 200 acres of stunning formal gardens, woodlands, ponds and lakes. The afternoon begins with a delicious tea at Orchard House followed by a stroll through one of the gorgeous gardens to the Westbury House. There, docents will guide the group on private tours throughout the house and share its history, design details, and family lore. Going back to school can be stressful for moms and Going back to school can be stressful for moms and children alike, especially when you add in the uncertainty of experiencing homelessness. Every year, Henry Schein helps make that transition a little more fun and easy for our guests. All school aged children were invited to the Henry Schein Back to School event where they had a day filled with bounce houses, barbecue and fun- oh, and lots of school supplies! Each child also received a back pack filled with supplies and a gift card to help them get any other needed items. In lieu of flowers, they invited friends and family to donate to Bethany House.
