"My wife has been volunteering her time and talent to this wonderful residence for over five years now. I have been many times to see these beautiful homes. The women who live within seem happy, hopeful and well-equipped for whatever the future holds. Outstanding services are offered and the staff seems very caring and helpful. VERY well-organized, also." - Chris K.

"Amazing! Four years ago I stopped by to donate some unused toys and was welcomed into an immaculate home by a lovely staff member. It is an organization I have enjoyed volunteering with and am impressed with the ability of women to launch from the stable footing they find at Bethany House." - Ellen F.

Our guest’s voices matter and are the driving fo Our guest’s voices matter and are the driving force behind our operations. Every year, Bethany House conducts a guest satisfaction survey and we are so proud to see the positive impact we’re making together.

Our top priorities have always been ensuring the safety and well-being of every guest, and empowering them on their journey towards personal goals. The quotes you see in this post are just a few examples of the heartwarming feedback we received this year, truly reflecting the secure and supportive environment we strive to create.

We are committed to continuing our work, offering a safe haven, and helping individuals take crucial steps forward.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey! Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our community.

Going back to school can be stressful for moms and Going back to school can be stressful for moms and children alike, especially when you add in the uncertainty of experiencing homelessness. Every year, Henry Schein helps make that transition a little more fun and easy for our guests. All school aged children were invited to the Henry Schein Back to School event where they had a day filled with bounce houses, barbecue and fun- oh, and lots of school supplies! Each child also received a back pack filled with supplies and a gift card to help them get any other needed items. This support is tremendous for our students and we are so thankful! 📸@Breece224 #BHNYmoments #backtoschool #henryschein #helpforthehomeless #newyearnewbeginnings

It warms our hearts to share the incredibly meanin It warms our hearts to share the incredibly meaningful way the Corcoran and Wexlar family honored their beloved mother, Kathleen. In lieu of flowers, they invited friends and family to donate to Bethany House. What a beautiful and impactful tribute to a life well-lived, creating a ripple effect of kindness and support for those in need. This selfless gesture truly embodies the spirit of giving and will make a real difference in the lives of the women and children we serve. Thank you, Corcoran and Wexlar family and friends, for your compassion and generosity.

Says Kelly Corcoran-Wexlar, Kathleen’s daughter, “My mother was an amazing, compassionate, and fun person to everyone she touched, especially during her many years as a Montessori teacher. Kathy absolutely knew how important it was for children to have a safe and healthy environment, to learn and grow. This is the reason why we selected the Bethany House, an organization that does so much for those who are vulnerable in challenging times. We are honored to have partnered with Bethany House to bring services to these Long Island families and look forward to finding new ways to contribute. Thank you for everything you do for our community.”
