They got to experience the thrill of Disney’s Descendants live at the @theargyletheatre. Seeing the smiles and joy on their faces was truly priceless! Special thank you to @rockvillebagels191 for providing lunch for each guest and the Bethany Buddies who made snack bags! This years Fashion Show is a great celebration of a beautiful Bethany House supporter.

Kia Moore is a former resident of Bethany House and is ever grateful for the love, care stability provided to her family during one of the most traumatic times of their lives. The altruism of Bethany House reinvigorated in Kia the need to be a person who serves the world and makes it a better place.

This is evidenced by Kia’s career as an Administrative Law Judge for the City of NY and her dubbing herself a Social Justice warrior. Kia has been focusing on female empowerment issues in a myriad of ways during her life such as serving as a Girls Scout leader for the last 27 years, being a staunch advocate against sex trafficking of girls and women, and her contributions to Bethany House as a member of the Board of Directors.

Kia has now embarked upon one of her greatest female empowerment challenges- motherhood. She hopes to instill in her daughter all the lessons she has learned so that she can ignite in her the value of being a social justice warrior, and especially to be a supporter of Bethany House.

Kia is ecstatic to be part of the Bethany House Fashion show fundraiser and to be honored by this organization.
